As Fashion Weeks for New York, London, Paris and Milan wind down, we are dizzy with excitement about all the fashion trends to come for spring and summer next year, but also equally excited about all the fun and fabulous trends for Fall that were on the last runway shows, where models walked the catwalk wearing Fall 2017! Â Open any one of your favorite fashion magazines and you will find an array of trends in shoes, sportswear, jewelry, gowns, accessories, as well as beauty trends for the new season! Â Reading through all these magazines to find out what is on trend can be overwhelming to say the least, so we’ve consolidated it for you! Â (You can print this out and think of it as your Fall trends cheat sheet!)
Fall was officially upon us on September 22nd, 2017, but if you live in the northeast it feels more like it’s still summer, and the week going forward looks like we might just need to keep those summer clothes out a bit longer!  So while we wait for the Mother Nature to catch up to the calendar, let’s go over what is “hot” for Fall!  (note: all words highlighted in pink are trends for Fall)…………
So what is trending for Fall you ask? Ruffles, bow blouses, bell sleeves, off the shoulder,  lace and pearls (just to name a few), in other words, feminine details! Pair a bell sleeved top with jeans for a casual night out, or take that same blouse and pair with a fabulous pair of black pants, heels, glittery jewelry, and a black patent leather clutch for a cocktail party.  Patent leather and shiny vinyl is a big trend this season.  If you aren’t comfortable with larger pieces of patent leather, then a small piece like this clutch is perfect.
Oh and Shhhh:  Pearls can also be worn casual! Pair pearls (multiple strands a la Coco Chanel, or one strand if you’re less daring) with a great white button down blouse, jeans, black kitten heels, and a black and white jacket.  Of course those same pearls can be worn with a cocktail dress, evening separates or your favorite little black dress!  We’ve packed our shop with clothing with feminine details.  You’ll find lace, soft & swingy fabrics, ruffles and more……
Our dresses have the feminine details you’ll love, in colors like red, blue, black & white combo, and more by designers you love! Â Off the shoulder, or one shoulder dressing continues to be as hot in Fall as it was this past Spring and Summer. Â What says feminine and sexy more than these details?
Black and white combos are hot, either in a print or using solids to create the look, i.e. black top and white pants. Turtleneckshave finally come out of hiding and were seen all over the runways. Â We love them paired with anything from sportswear to evening separates . Â Belts are back in an even bigger way! Â Belts were shown over tops, in belt loops and even around a coat. Â You know we have plenty of handmade, unique, and beautiful, Lauren Hampton Designs Belts, and yes, if you like the skinnier belts, she can design those too! Â Check out our Lauren Hampton one of a kind, handmade beauties.
Another thing that we have talked about before, but it is being more widely accepted, is the “no white after Labor Day rule” being so passe’! Â We are no longer held hostage by whoever “they” are! Â “They” have told us for years that we cannot wear white before Memorial Day or After Labor Day, but that is no more! Â Keep those white jeans out because they look stunning with a pair of black knee high boots or a pair of your favorite pumps! Â Make a note that they would look fab with the black and white Joseph Ribkoff Jacket shown below!
Velvet was one of our favorite things shown on runways as well as in magazines.  It’s a very rich looking fabric and is perfect  paired with a pretty skirt, a pair of pants, or dressed down with your favorite jeans.
